Before We Fly

I look forward to flying together! Before we do, here’s a few things you should know about how to prepare for your flight and how to get to the airport.

  1. Eat & Drink!

It’s hard for anyone to learn while hungry or thirsty, so make sure you have some food and water before you come to fly!

Along those same lines, use the restroom before heading to the airport!

  2. What To Wear

Check the weather and dress appropriately! It will be about 10-15º cooler in the air than it is on the ground, so bring a layer if needed. Small aircraft typically don’t have air conditioning, so it can be warm on summer days until we are airborne.

  3. What To Bring

I recommend bringing sunglasses and if you are sensitive to the sun, a hat and sunscreen. I will supply an aviation headset for you and any other aviation-specific items that might be needed for our discovery flight.

If you have already begun training with me, then you know what to bring (logbook, sectional/EFB, kneeboard, foggles, etc).

  4. Where To Meet Me

Discovery Flights are conducted out of the Main Terminal at the Livermore Airport, while Flight Training is conducted out of my hangar in the Southside Hangar Complex. Click the appropriate button below for directions to either one.

DISCOVERY FLIGHT DIRECTIONS

Discovery flights are conducted from the Main Terminal at the Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK):

1. Head to the main terminal at LVK (680 Terminal Circle, Livermore, CA 94551). Public free parking is available! I’ll meet you in the lobby just inside the main front doors.

2. We will spend a few minutes briefing our flight, and then we will head out onto the tarmac together to the plane, N2706U and begin our Discovery Flight!

As always if you have any trouble getting here or have any questions, call or text me at (925) 200-7985!

FLIGHT TRAINING DIRECTIONS

Flight Training is conducted from my hangar in the Southside Hangar Complex at the Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK):

1. Head to the Southside Hangar Complex at Livermore Municipal Airport (311 W Jack London Blvd, Livermore, CA 94551)

3. Follow the Red arrows from either Gate to reach my hangar row, and drive down the row until you arrive at Hangar 351 on your righthand side.
